STILL AT WORK AM I

This is not actually representative of my working conditions, but it is representative of my emotional state of mind... sometimes.... but not today!

The holidays are a-coming, actually to be more specific, starting on Saturday, and since today is a Thursday, that makes it... why... OnLLy a DaaAAAAy AaawaAAay (annie style).

What is it about holidays that make you want to run amok in your underwear, sing songs from Sound of Music and eat indiscriminately from roadside stalls?

Maybe its because it evokes memories of the younger days...

of endless cycling;

of serious conversations in playgrounds;

of swinging higher and higher and higher and coming that close to being thrown off the seat of your swing;

of running, not from anything, not to anything, but just... running;

of swimming, not to get a tinier waist or define your arms, but just of pretending to be a deep sea aquaman;

of waking up at 8am not because you have to go to work, or school, but just because if you stayed in a minute longer, it would be a minute more of your holiday that you gave up.
